How the materials in Shapewear work
All of the Shapewear in theApparelPlace's collections are made with high-quality materials. Shapewear garments are designed to help you look great and feel comfortable and you'll notice the difference the moment you slip into any of the pieces from our collection.
Shapewear garments can use different combinations of materials, here are some of the most commonly used:
|
| Latex: |
This material comes from
the Hevea plant which provides the elasticity and capacity to hold shape
memory in Shapewear garments. Latex is the main material which
provides firm control to your problem areas. |
| Elastane: |
Also known as Lycra, this is a
very well-known synthetic fiber for its great elasticity. It is
characterized as that because it can be stretched to 600% without
breaking. In addition, it is also possible to be stretched a great
number of times without ruining the shape of the garment. Elastine is
light, flexible and smooth and is also resistant to sweat and skin care
products. |
| Nylon: |
This is an artificial
polymer. It is very smooth and resistant to general wear and
tear. Nylon makes Shapewear garments easy to slip into,
this is because nylon provides extra support and creates smooth
contours. |
| Cotton: |
This
material makes it easier for your skin to breathe and it also absorbs
moisture. Cotton is used in the inner area of the girdle where you need
it most. |
